how I got Here
1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
We are called to encourage one another and encouraging is a huge part of who i am. In the New Testament, we are met with the answer to probably one of the greatest questions ever asked. When Jesus was met with the question of what the greatest commandment was, he responded with this:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Encouraging others in the Lord is such a beautiful way to not only love God, but to also love others as ourselves.
While encouragement alone is great, it’s important that we are encouraging others in the Lord. That means meeting others where they are. This space, Ashley Hope In Christ.com is my attempt at exactly that. I know I’m not the only one who struggles deeply with their mental and physical health. So if you can resonate with anything i’ve said here, this is the place for you. I hope that my posts, written straight from the heart, stirred up by the Holy Spirit and delivered with humility and truth meet you exactly where you are. Then my hope is that you leave feeling encouraged and pass on that very same encouragement to those you meet in your own everyday life.

Do you struggle with your mental or physical health like me? Do you feel like those struggles limit you to the point where you feel like you’ll never be able to experience true joy, peace, and happiness? You’re not alone. What you’re feeling is 100% valid. If no one’s said so before, I’d like to tell you that you can absolutely experience true joy, hope, peace and happiness by putting your hope in Jesus.
Your struggles do not disqualify you from the good that God is doing and will continue to do in your life nor do they disqualify you from his everlasting love.
